Great facility for our A/V club meeting. Loads of space inside to shoot scenes.

The very best dancing floor in a large hall. Up to 24 dancers practising morris comfortably. Ideal for large parties and shows, with a proper stage. Enormous and well-kitted kitchen. Excent folfing chairs and tables. Large loos inc. disabled. Large car park. Beautiful garden for outdoors games and maypole dancing. Very accessible, by the A321. Nothing as good for many miles around. I've been using it more than once a week for 15 years.

I would not recommend this hall, not because it is not a lovely hall but for the bad service and information I experienced from Kelly who organises the bookings. I had previously been to a party at this hall and loved the place so when we were arranging my nephews christening I immediately thought of the Hurst Hall. I rang Kelly on the Monday and explained that we were very interested but I am away up North for work this week but would book it when I was back. Kelly responded that the hall was free for the times we wanted and that I could provisionally hold this space then pay a deposit if I wanted to confirm, which I made clear I would like to. I call up the following Monday and leave a message. Kelly then texts me back (in which she calls me Claire!!!!) saying it has been booked already but I could have it till 12.30 lunch time on this day. It is a christening! I would like to know what Christenings Kelly has been to that is only a morning with an after party. I work in Marketing and book events as a regular occurrence, if you provisionally booked the venue out (verbal confirmation of this) then you should not take another booking without consulting the first booking- this is bad business form and pure greed from what is suppose to be a village hall! Once again I would like to thank Kelly for the way she explained the situation, giving us false hope and booking it someone else. If this is the way you run your business then you really shouldn't be in this industry! I would recommend anyone who is looking to hire the hall to go else where as I can assure you they won't double book you and let you down but they may call you back to explain the situation and call you the right name!
