Good for kids
It takes a lot of time to go on fort by ropeway. In an Average 2 hours of waiting or 1600 stairs to get on fort. Overall experience on fort is good and mesmerizing. Lot to see on fort like Takmak Kada, Jagdishwara Temple, Monument of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj , Hirakani Buruj, Old market on fort and so on. A thing we noticed on fort is some people who work there take extra money to take people down the fort by ropeway before their number gets called. This is imposing extra burden on the people waiting for their turn in queue. If you ask them about it they simply say "If you have any problem with this you can tell management". This has to be handled.

Raigad the place where great Shivaji had died and her mother too. Also the brave mother Hirkani. This place has witnessed many great souls. Talking about the place the rope way does it job. The area around the same can be kept more clean. You are charged 300 per head to go up and to come down the same way. While going up you cross small museum, where you can see the real sword used centuries back. And yes you need to wait for hours in queue to go up and come down.
Fastest way to reach at top of fort
Raigad Ropeway is very important way to reach at Raigad Fort from the bottom of Sahyadri mountain We have two way's to reach Raigad from bottom of the Sahyadri Mountain and they are 1- Raigad Ropeway and 2- stairs and the of upward pathway So if we go with Ropeway you can enjoy a whole view of Sahyadri Mountain
Very nice ropeway to reach Raigad Fort
Very thrilling and beautiful place. Coming down the fort by stairs was the best part. Hope you all enjoy it.
