The rice was. Not good, it is pretty unforgivable for a Japanese restaurant in that price range. The decor and the menu is nice, but the waiter/sommelier is very unprofessional and weird. I was disappointed for my second visit the quality was not there, there are many better Japanese restaurants on Paris in that category.

EnYaa is my new favorite place in Paris. Everything about the place thrills me. The décor is very elegant; I particularly love the wooden table and chairs. The Kyoto style food is out of this world! The ingredients they work with are very fresh and are of very high quality. We went there for lunch and we decided to go with their Menu Syôkadô at 48 per person. It was totally worth every penny as everything we ate, from the very clean tasting sea urchin flan, the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, the best mackerel sushi I’ve ever had, and delicious grilled fish, the crunchy and not at all oily tempura, the simple yet comforting rice with ground chicken and red miso soup, to the mouthwatering matcha ice cream and hojicha blanc manger, couldn’t be more perfect. We also ordered sake by glass (yes, it’s lunch time, but in fairness, it’s very cold outside). We tried the Masumi sake, with lower alcohol content of 12%, and it did not disappoint. Highly recommended! I will definitely be back and sample their other sakes and super scrumptious food.

Great service, excellent authentic Japanese food with the small attentions to our personal food preferences. Think about booking a table in advance.
