STUNNING VIEWS of the Pai town. To get to the incredible white Buddha statue, you have to climb some long stairs, but the effort is totally worth it. The panoramic views from up there are simply beautiful and unforgettable, especially at sunset and sunrise. Make sure to dress respectfully, and once you reach the last few steps, take your shoes off before getting to the Buddha statue.

I really appreciated the free entry. But I was underwhelmed by the sunset view. Neither my husband nor I took a single photo, despite climbing 300 steps up. It is good exercise but do not come here expecting to take a great shot.

Open hours: 6am to 6pm. No entrance fee. It's a great place to see the sunset. But it has 300 steps to get to the big Buddha, so bring water.
