The computational mechanics conference 2018 was held here at the \Sanctuary of Oropa\. All the participants of the conference were given accommodation within the sanctuary. It's a very calm and serene location, with view of the beautiful alps.

Very nice place to go for sightseeing or picnic and hiking! Around here also has nice restaurants. I think for the family also very good place! Because Summer time has adventure park and Winter time has small skate link etc... all clean and cozy. Anyway I love this area and places

Beautiful place. Had a few days of reflection and relaxation at the sanctuary. Took a walk up the alp to the top one day, good trails and decent difficulty. Fantastic views everywhere you look. Nice and simple rooms. Good restaurants at the place and also a few other good ones some 10 min walk away.

Beautiful and amazing place for having a trip with your family and friends. However it's hard to reach it with public transportation, better to go there by car. Since it's cold in winter it's better to go there when it's warm and sunny. The view is amazing, the church itself isn't open all the time, during religious events (especially on Sundays it's not open to public to visit).
