A couple of hours before our experience was supposed to start, we received a friendly message from Antonio (the amazing guide) who gave us the option of delaying the tour to later in the day due to potential cloudy weather...as we were already driving by that point we carried on with the original time slot. Glad we did as we lucked out on an exclusive tour! We met up with Antonio at around 9:20am and were greeted with open arms. Antonio was friendly, spoke English pretty well and you could tell he was knowledgeable (I just wish I knew more Italian to have a proper conversation). Anyway, we set off around 9:30am into the open waters of Sardinia, wind rushing past every atom of your being, unadulterated freedom and Antonio pointing out and explaining a few sites/monuments along the way. I won't spoil the rest but just know that if you book with Antonio you're in for some lovely treats including fresh ice tea, snacks and maybe a fresh oyster (best we've ever tasted). I've kept the photos on here to a minimum not to ruin any experiences! Make sure you have some sort of waterproof camera as there are definitely some underwater moments you'll want to capture! As a couple, we took the morning Tavolara boat trip with Antonio. The trip was worth the money for the two of us. Antonio was an excellent skipper and guide, pointing out places of interest and taking us to so an amazing beach, fantastic places to snorkel and he even provided a light lunch of salami, cheese and bread. His English was a lot better than our Italian and we were able to get by with communication. Over all an excellent day.
Great boat, great guide and amazing tour - if you are looking for a beautiful sea trip with snorkeling, snacks and wonderful scenery near Olbia, this is the tour to book.
Antonio is a gem, he arranged to pick us up at our hotel, take us on an amazing 4 hour excursion and bring us back. On the boat, he was great about taking pictures for us, offering a light snack of cheese that his friend makes, salami and Sardinian bread. Beer and water along with some fun tunes also. He had some snorkels for people to use and was throwing food to the fish so they would come near for us to watch. The most amazing part is his personality - he was warm, welcoming and really really tried to make our experience wonderful. He is limited in English but we were still able to communicate well and he makes an effort to include us in conversation even with google translate. You can book online - we booked last minute so I just messaged him on WhatsApp and he responded quickly to arrange the pickup and even drove us to an atm so we can pay in cash since we didn’t book through the website.
