This rice cake shop was a gem our guide (Noriko) showed us near bamboo forest in Kyoto. We got a sample and tea. I purchased two different kinds of rice cakes.

I bought way too many rice crackers from here, but I couldn’t decide! They are all delicious! Can’t wait to go back to this area so I can buy some more.

ありゃまぁ月曜日は定休！ でも、のれんとか外してお店見ると普通の民家みたい。今日はここで美味しいおかきの京土産を予定していたのに、高島屋寄ります
店内が明るい。風情がある。接客が丁寧。
住宅街の奥にひっそりとあり、駐車場もお店の裏にあります。 ただし、周辺の道は狭く、また観光客の方が結構歩いているので注意が必要です。
