My husband and I visit Wisconsin at least once a year, and we always go to the Silver Eagle. Besides all that unique jewelry, there's my favorite Native American herbal tea, wonderful natural incense sticks and one-of-a-kind pottery. But it's the jewelry that makes my day. This summer I bought a pendant and earrings of petrified palm wood set in sterling silver, a change from the turquoise I usually choose. The staff really know about the pieces, so it's wonderful to be able to understand where the jewelry was made and what it represents. It's not that far from Milwaukee, and really worth the trip.
