I've never had a bad meal there. In fact, I've never heard anyone say that they had a bad meal there. This place is a Newark institution! I wasn't there to see it when it opened in the 1960's but I feel like not much has changed - and that's a good thing! The staff is always great, the portions are large, the prices are right, and the food is delicious. Our favorite meal is the Chico Reubon. Yum!

Incredible food and huge portions at Hobby’s. This old-school family deli has an enormous menu, which left us planning our next trip back. One of the owners, Michael, chatted with us for a while during our meal, which added even more to the comfortable, welcoming, family vibe. The potato pancakes were better than any I’d had before, and the matzah ball soup was picture-worthy. There were several vegetarian and vegan options too, including a Mediterranean grilled vegetable platter with divine homemade hummus. Must try!

This is absolutely one of the most attractive restaurants in the region. Anytime I come to this place I am very happy. They manage their high level service and the highest level of meals they provide. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Jewish food, mmm, very delicious. Entered near nine, it wasn't busy. I think I might become a regular. It has a good atmosphere. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.
