This is a nice space. The are a few rooms - some for studying, some for services. The main hall is a nice size. Services are held here, bat/bar mitzvot too and they have a kitchen as well. Over the weekend, classes are also held here (karate) - it's a great space. The other rooms can also be held for various classes or meetings. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance with a ramp.

A small, super friendly and open congregation.

A small but lovely and warm congregation. The synagogue is worth visiting for historical reasons alone. The stained-glass windows are dedicated in the names of early congregation members, all German Jews. It is bracing to see Jewish names such as Ludwig, Sigmund, Herman, Gerta, Sigfried, Helga and Max (because we know how that chapter of history ended).

Home to several religious groups including the original though small reformed Jewish congregation, and Uptown Community Church, the most consistent tenant and a plant of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, which was a plant of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. The church rents the space from the beautiful art deco synagogue, which celebrated 100 years in 2017, I believe.
