Bought a light from here online, I don't live far from the showroom, took a couple of hours off work to drive over and collect my item, upon arrival it could not be found and so a completely wasted journey, item must have already been sold I was told!! Not happy one bit and no plausible explanation given.

came in for a job interview and made a clear effort only to be completely forgotten about and nobody even bothered to contact, hiring department is a complete shambles

The Chantelle team helped kit out our rehearsal room. True British craftsmanship which is often hard to come by. Do not hesitate if you are fortunate enough to come across this real hidden gem of the North - would recommend to all!

I recently purchased 2 wall lights from Chantelle Lighting. They were helpful and prompt in suggesting an alternative in stock item as the one I wanted was going to take 5 weeks to deliver. However, a couple of things to beware of if you are ordering on-line from them. The delivery charges were a hefty 60 for a DPD delivery from Lancashire to London which would usually cost no more than 10 through that courier. There was no apparent justification for that charge. Secondly if you want to return an item they will charge you 20% of the cost even on an in-stock item that they will re-sell at full price and the delivery charge back again rendering it pointless to return and penalising the customer. When I questioned this the only response I received was that this is their policy and that's it. Unless they plan to change their 'policy' which is obviously heavily weighted against the customer I would avoid. Nice products - poor customer service.
