The price is very reasonable and you pay for which sections of the museum you want to visit (we paid 160 for exhibits botanical garden). It’s a large museum but it’s a bit older. It’s nice to walk around for the day with kids - you can easily spend a whole day here. Most of the signage is in Chinese but there are some QR code’s with English information.
Nice museum, the 3D movie was awesome. Also the dinosaurs looks very real, and this place really educate people about dinosaurs. Will be back here next time! Nice!
Great experience with the kids. Many interactive exhibits to explore. I would recommend downloading the museum app if you are like us and not able to speak Mandarin. Would visit again if we are in town in the future.
An amazing science museum, good for different age groups. Includes free sections, paid exhibitions, movies and more. Often the museum would have special exhibitions and themes. The museum also has some special exhibits, such as a 8.84 metres long Architeuthis sanctipauli, a Mammoth fossil, Taiwanese aboriginal tribes artifacts and lifestyle demonstrations, ancient Chinese technologies (some functioning) and artifacts. Fun factoids about the museum: there used to be a small zoo in it, and a few years ago they built a Mayan pyramid in the square inside for a Mayan themed exhibition.
Pretty cool place to visit, spend time with family, friends or school trip. Very informative and interesting. Highly recommended.
The museum covers 22 acres (89,000 m2) and is a six-venue complex housing: the Space Theater, Science Center, Life Science Hall, Human Cultures Hall, Global Environment Hall, and Botanical Garden. The Research and Collection Division of the museum is divided into departments for zoology, botany, geology and anthropology. The architect and educator Han Pao-teh was appointed as the first director of the museum in 1987, a post he held until 1995. He was involved with helping to set up the museum before that from 1981. The current director is Wei-Hsin Sun (孫維新).In 1980, the government announced plans to build the museum. On New Year's Day of 1986, the first phase of the museum opened, including the Science Center, Space Theater, administrative offices, and outdoor grounds. The second phase was completed in August 1988, and the third and fourth phases were completed in August 1993. In 1999, the number of specimens in the museum had grown to 551,705.
The kids can get a lot of knowledge in National Museum of Natural Science. ️️️
