Well it was Saturday after a tiring moment from job , we thought to visit this restaurant konkanstha which itself the name suggest a rich taste of Konkan along with the enrich of coconut in every taste . The ambience is more of a marathi village look and giving it's look. The staff were quite polite and helpful . We ordered the following things from there . Jawla pakoda : the famous small tiny jawla which is included in every thali. And it was something unique which was very new to me with a blend of onion and jawla pakoda . Stuffed Bombil Six Bombil fish 3 on the top and rest on the bottom in which there rich spices inserted right in the middle and along side the a shallow fry coating on the exterior . Last but not least Prawns thali The best thing and very well sustained with every variety . It contains prawns gravy, rice , vade, prawns fry, prawns sukka, curry and the best thing soan kadi . Would highly recommend this restaurant to you

Konkanasthaa is a small eatery famous for the Malwani cuisine. It is operated my a Maharashtrian family, where the each and every member of the family is equally involved in this venture. From cooking to serving you'll find only their family members which also gives you a homely feeling. The food is prepared by the ladies of the family. They do not source even a single ingredient from out. Everything is prepared at home even all the masalas. This makes their food delicious and good for your health as well. Along with their yummy food the people are so warmth and welcoming you'll feel that you are having your meal at the comfort of your own home. It's been a year that they started their venture and they need our support. If you want to have typical Malwani food then visit konkanasthaa and have their finger licking home cooked food. Jawla pakoda:small baby prawns which are very minute in size are grinded further more and mixed with traditional maharashtrian spices and deep fried. I had this for the first time. It tasted bomb. Not too spicy these jawla pakodas very crispy and was full of flavours . Stuffed bombil: bombil was fried with some rawa and stuffed with medium sized prawns. The fish was fresh and flaky. Went well with the coconut chutney and some lemon. Prawns thaali: this was damnnnn good. Everything present in the thaali was so delicious and fresh. Komdi wade: the wade were not too oily and were soft. It's taste enhanced even more when we had with chicken sukka. They were kind enough to make us taste their crab lollypop. Again I had this for the first time and I am definitely coming back to try this and some more their signature dishes. I really enjoyed my meal over here. Guys pls do visit konkanasthaa!!

Amazing chicken! We ordered their chicken Masala party pack for house party, it was delicious. After that I have ordered several items from menu, specially fish thalis.

I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Malvani food. Do try Malvani fish thali /chiken shukha, even egg bhurji is better then most restaurants.

Being a foodie I just love to try different kind of food. The kokanastha is the place where i get all kind of satisfaction. Food tast is simply APRATIM fabulous. Very hygienic and authentic. Recommended for hard core non-vegetarian Sea food as well as chiken / mutton. Must try Crab lolipop Mutton masala Soul kadhi

This place is located at the Prime Location of Vile Parle East near Highway. It's very easy to locate and reach there. As the name suggests, Kokanastha Lunch Home serves authentic Konkani Food. Unlike other "Authentic" restaurants, this is really authentic. The best part of this place is that they start preparation and cooking after placing the order. So you get absolutely fresh food. You just have to be little patient here so that they can do their job well. The food is spicy and tasty with all natural coastal spices and flavours in it. It was too good. Must Try - Costal Food, Fish Thali - Bombay Duck, King Fish and Mackerel Thali with Bhakari and Vade. Never ever miss out on their Solkadhi. You get very homely feeling there as it's run by friendly Maharashtrian family. They waited for us patiently to finish our food even though it really late in the night. There is no jazz, extravagant interior. It's pure, small and simple place to eat real Konkani food. Its not heavy on pocket at all. They have very reasonable prices. It's an absolutely value for money place. No forceful inclusion of service charge in the bill which I hate the most. All in all must visit place for all coastal cuisine lovers.
