This is a great spot for walking or cycling, I've been going here a lot to get out of the house during the pandemic and the spaciousness means you'll be able to avoid people. Unfortunately the last 2 Sundays there has been a group of 5 or 6 people driving around on Dirtbikes and ATVs which is disgraceful as it's a pedestrian/cycling track and it's always filled with small kids and families and someone could very easily get hit

Nice place for a walk or a run.
First piece of advice: don't follow Google maps to this place. It'll take you down some terrible local (L) roads that's aren't fit for cars. I was coming from Kildare town direction. I've never been to a wind farm. I was curious to see just how big they are and how noisy they are. They're about a big and noisy as I thought they'd be! Obviously, it's a big open space, can be cold and (obviously) windy. The walkways are great, wide, well marked. There are exercise machines along the trails if you're feeling energetic. The kids will have fun with them too. Plenty of great photo opportunities out here with the turbines too. You will also see the bord na mona train tracks if you park on the south side. There's parking either end. There's only parking for a few cars but it wasn't busy. Overall would recommend it to pass an afternoon. My son loved it. We didn't go on any guided tours so can't comment on them.
Nice spot for a visit, they have 5km runs here on every Saturday. There is a cycleway here and you can walk aroind. I think this is 7km. There is a portatoilet here and a small shelter at the turbines. The parking is about 500m from the turbines takes about 20 cars but is not busy. There is parking for runners near the turbines on Saturday. The turbines themselves are cool, come on a good day as no shelter. Will need a jacket, it's windy (who knew!)
Well done. Congratulations. We are now on the right path for fighting climate change. Come and see what we can do to save the planet. Don't forget to visit Powerscourt Cool Planet Centre and calculate your carbon footprint. Thanks a lot.
Despite being only about 6-7 km from where I live today was first time yo visit the location. Fairly easy to find - take l/h turn at moun t lucas Service Station n follow road to entrance. Reasonable size car park. Walks well laid out with seating provided along the routes. Seems good spot for cycling with a few families out n about. Wind Turbines are interesting but feel surrounding countryside cud be made more interesting with likes of big art etc similar to Lough Boora. A small shop would be nice maybe in normal times. Definitely recommend and will go back
Wonderful place for a tour. Highly recommended.
