After my midwife moved on to another practice I decided to see Dr. Hinzman so I could get an IUD. (He was the quickest appointment available.) I was originally just going to see him to place the IUD and then find another female doctor, but he actually really impressed me. I have had multiple bad experiences with male doctors and was definitely not looking to see another one. Dr. Hinzman is caring, professional, and had my best interests at heart. He took my concerns seriously and was good to offer many options for birth control and was knowledgeable about the side effects of each. Long story short, I was not planning to become a permanent patient but he has exceeded my expectations and I will stay with him for as long as he’s in the area.

Have seen Dr. Freed after a emergency room visit. Front desk staff are far from friendly and often talking poorly about other patients when I check out. Every time I’ve seen doctor Freed in the past year she asks me personal questions she’s asked me over and over before. I’ve seen her many times this last year. It’d be helpful if she read a chart instead of acting totally clueless. Whoever deals with collections is also such a treat. I moved twice in the past few months and have been in and out of the hospital many times this last year which is a first ever for me. I started calling around places I knew I had been last week asking if I had a bill because we have had many issues with our mail since first moving. Vicki said she called 3 times and I should know I had a bill with them. Sure I should have known but i hadn’t received a voicemail and I had 1000s in medical bills this last year which has never happened to me so instead of letting me pay I was going to collections even though there was no mention the week before when I made a 150 payment of me going to collections. Very unprofessional from day one ...I have been through a lot this past year and you would think they’d show some compassion instead of saying I should have known I had a bill coming I had many this last year and had issues fighting wit insurance so it was hard to keep up. I was just trying to do the right thing once I knew I had that bill there and pay. WHAT A JOKE

I called this office in order to set up an appointment as a new patient. I was requested to give my social security number, which I said that I was not comfortable doing, and the secretary replied, \We will need it when you check in.\ I quickly replied that I am not legally required to give them my social security number and she backed down right away. I requested Dr. Freed, but her first available appointment was four months away. However, the secretary said that a certain doctor could see me sooner but didn’t prescribe birth control. I don't necessarily need birth control but it sickened me that doctors can still, now a days, deny women certain services that can alter the course of their lives and health. I asked if any other doctor in their location could see me sooner and then Dr. Freed could do my annual exam later. The secretary said that once I start seeing a doctor I cannot switch to another. So if I'm unhappy with one doctor in their practice I have to leave and go elsewhere? Based on this tedious back and forth, blatant disregard for patients needs from certain doctors, and not well thought out office management/decisions, I decided to call Genesis Obgyn and got an appointment with a female doctor with only two weeks wait time.

Seen Dr. Holst a few months ago. I was there with upper respiratory. She made it seem like she didn't want to see me, like i was wasting her time. I don't go to the Dr. unless I'm sick, or a scheduled physical. I will NEVER go to her again!!
