Great historic copper mine. Many foundations to see if you are willing to get into the woods. Huge mine tailings piles. Lots of cool rocks, minerals and copper if you're lucky.

Very unique and gorgeous scenery! I really enjoyed the area and its beauty.
We have come here many times over the years, and we always find something new. There is a Cliff Drive Lookout, but we have never managed to get up there. We hear it takes 4x4, and we had a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but we decided not to go up that road. We did cross the littler river though! Take your time here. There is a cemetery (and lots of poison ivy), there are a few walls, and remains of this old mining village, but not much. There is a chimney, and a few other things. The rock formations here are beautiful!
Pretty cool old mining area. 2 handmade stone columns from turn of the century still standing. Also has a historic cemetery that isn't accessible due to being under water.
It a great place to explore. We did not make it to the cemetery the water levels were high. It’s hard to imagine the area treeless and as an active mine now with all of the growth. It a cool hike, very steep at times . Beautiful country.
