If I could put a BIG 0 stars I would. I am extremely disappointed and outright disgusted - to say the least with the vehicle and service I have received in regards to my brand new Lancer. I have been charged for repairs on a vehicle that should be covered under warranty but each time they find a loophole and decide to put it back on me. Why would the same part need to be replaced twice in one year at the purchasers cost? I don’t believe there is any way someone could wear a part out with driving in under 50,000 km, TWICE. Not to mention now they dig deeper to find out that is a completely new transmission needed and they wont cover it?! What is the point of warranty? As far as I am concerned it is shoddy and/or uneducated mechanical work and extremely poor customer service but what do they have to lose? I pay good money for a vehicle and expect it to be reliable. My vehicle breaks down and I have no vehicle and no energy to argue for it to be covered not only ONCE but now TWICE so I am left to deal with footing yet another bill which will in total leave me paying over 6,000 for a brand new vehicles repairs - unbelievable. as if it isn't already sickening enough - the 2nd breakdown happened on a trip 2 provinces away leaving me stranded and having to pay for my own rental and find my way back to get it once it is fixed. Of course a huge company such as theirs is going to rob you blind instead of taking responsibility because it doesn’t affect them personally. A brand new vehicle should be covered for repairs without having to fight and jump through hoops. Absolutely disgusted and furious with the whole process and service that Mitsubishi has given. I would never recommend them or buy another Mitsubishi vehicle.

When I felt helpless and ready to give up on this company over an issue I was having with a car I purchased; I reached out to a unrelated department in a last ditch attempt to resolve said issue. I was met with an extremely helpful staff member. She was so quick and kind with her responses and true to her word; I was contacted very quickly that same day. Because of her everything was able to be resolved.

The professionals at Mid-North that do the service repairs or maintenance are awesome. But there's a lack of knowledge that I get front from the front-line service people. First, I had a problem with my sound system...cell calls weren't audible on the interior speaker system. I couldn't get a straight answer about this from Mid-North. I called the dealer in Barrie and they told me it was a well known problem that could be fixed by upgrading the software for the sound system. They said cars were leaving the factory with outdated sound system software. I had to tell Mid-North the solutioin to get it fixed. Second, my digital dash display stopped working. It was sudden and the only warning was on the odometer screen where it said the electronic system req'd service (no kidding!). Mid-North offered to book me a service appointment but I'd have to wait 6 days for an opening. Once again , I called the Barrie dealer and they told me that they'd had over a dozen Mitsubishi cars with the same problem. It had become a common problem. In every case it was the IOD fuse that popped out. They told me, over the phone, to pop the fuse cover behind the battery (under the hood), look for the fused labelled 'IOD' and push the IOD fuse back into place. It worked. I'm frustrated by the lack of knowledge at the front end of the Mid-North service dept. Do they not talk to other dealers to keep up to date? From now on I'm taking my car to Barrie for service. No offence to the folks in the repair garage...they've been great.
