This is one of my go-to spots in downtown. I get the tofu hibachi (with spicy sauce) every time and it always hits the spot. The silky tofu with crunchy exterior is unlike any tofu I’ve had elsewhere. For a while I got this every Monday just to add a little joy to the day. I recently moved out of Minneapolis and this is one of the places I crave most often.

Clean stylish location with plenty of seating! I'm a big fan of their food truck and wanted to check out their physical location. Speedy and friendly service! The flavors never fail to disappoint me. Instesd of going with the standard lunch sizes, I opted to order from the dinner menu. (They have two menus: just an all day menu with smaller portions and a dinner menu with larger portions.) The shrimp is probably what they're best known for. My friend ordered the scallop & shrimp combo, which was also excellent. If you get the dinner, you get soup or salad, chicken fried rice, your choice of meat, and cucumbers and onions. Delicious and I totally want to come back.

Today several of us took a walk and went over to the recently opened hibachi duruma. The restaurant looks very nice and clean. The food quality seemed good but it was overpriced for what you actually got. Someone in our group asked about allergy friendly food choices and there were very few, basically steamed rice and salad with no dressing. I don't believe anyone in our group will be doing back any time soon.
