Milam Tree Services is the best tree company in all of Jonesboro.. no scratch that, Clayton County! I run my firewood sales and gravel supplies through them and I've used their tree experts over the years for everything from tree pruning and trimming to tree removals with and without their crane services. Most recently, I called for an estimate on Thursday and the whole job was completed on Monday as promised. I had a large, old tree that had sustained so much storm damage over the years, I didn't think it could take the next one. The tree professionals from Milam did an outstanding job on the dangerous tree removal for a great price. They arrived on time, well equipped and ready to work. The tree was already leaning on my house and I was scared if it fell anymore, it would break through my roof. Milam did the stump grinding too which left me plenty of mulch. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree services.
This tree service removed a very large tree from my neighbors yard and decided to fell it in my heavily wooded yard with no prior notification. They damaged several of my trees and when confronted said they could have damaged more. They then threatened to tear up our yard with their trucks when they came in to clean up the mess they had created. We called the police and will be calling an arborist to evaluate the damage to our trees. They obviously didn't care about transgressing on anyone's elses property or care what damage they caused. I wouldn't recommend using them unless you want angry neighbors calling police and thinking of suing you for damage. Addendum: After contacting an arborist who knew the company owner- he suggested I contact the owner directly about this matter. Joshua Milam was very responsive, sincerely apologetic and assured me that he did not approve of how things were handled yesterday. I truely feel if he had been involved yesterday things would have been handled much differently and that yesterday was not generally how his business is run. This situation has been resolved to my satisfaction.
