The Jamaica Cook Shop is a wonderful restaurant. I am amazed how flavorful their dishes are. My favorite dish is the oxtail, rice, and peas dish. If you have never eaten from this restaurant before, I would rush over and try some of their mouthwatering dishes that will have you rubbing your tummy with a satisfying smile oon your face. My name is Dave and I am a regular who eats there and is honored to have an opportunity to write this review.

First time being in Mesquite, just happened to be in the area , read most of the reviews, so I had to try it myself. I ordered the jerk chicken with some rice and beans and some plantains... Plantains were spot on , jerk chicken was very flavorful just wish it came with a side of sauce for the rice and beans Overall Great Job , hopefully I can try out something else next time I’m here. Two thumbs up
We had oxtails, rice and peas, and cabbage. We added beef patties and plantains. Everything was perfect! The oxtails were perfectly seasoned and prepared. The sides complimented the meat and the plantains added the perfect amount of sweet. The plates were generous and reasonably priced. We will definitely return and recommend highly!
Decided to eat here after my son stumbled across this place while working in the area and raved about it.Don’t let the exterior deter you from eating here. Our food was fantastic! I had jerk chicken with rice and beans and I think I could eat it every day! The fried dumplings were amazing! recommend
This place was great! The food was some of the best food I have had in the mesquite area. We got the Jerk chicken, rice and plantains. Service was good also. Very Authentic feeling place. Go try it out, you wont regret it.
