Honest, heartfelt and very transparent in how they tell the stories that happened in the past. Very kind grandpa who let us in despite arriving only 15mins before it closes at 4. It's TOTALLY FREE to get in.

Really interesting tunnel that I had no idea existed. The floor isn't smooth rock so expect loose stone underfoot. It's accessable with a pram or stroller provided you don't mind using it as a bulldozer through small rubble that builds up around the wheels like I did. It's well enough lit to be atmospheric.
Old tunnel network built in the second world war for the imperial family and several other critical people and facilities. Nowadays several hundred meters can be accessed where you will come across pitch black side tunnels, a possible bat or two, and an interesting but eery atmosphere, especially if you are alone as far as you can see and hear. I received some English information papers on the history of the place at the reception and there was no fee to enter.
I think I expected a simple bunker construction, maybe a few dotted about the area but actually, it's a huge underground set of tunnels that are vast! You're required to stick to the main path of course but it's a very long walk that takes you deep into the mountain. It took well over 6000 people to carve their way into the depths... mostly Korean but there were also Japanese men involved. It's well worth a visit as it's free too so if you're interested in such things, you'll enjoy a couple of hours here.
It's a flooding area, so it's not a good place to travel
Very educational, good preservation of history. I recommend stopping at the information center to the right of the tunnel entrance.
