Visited there on an 'open day'. For English speakers they provide a booklet with all the details about the place. Beautiful palace.

My wife and I did a guided tour of the Liechtenstein Palace on 25 July 2020. A building that we have often walked passed and didn't think anything about. The outside doesn't show any signs of being a palace and there is no signage to say that. Walk in the door and it is spectacular. It has been restored due to age and also as a result of flooding in 2002. It is still used for state and private functions. It has hosted VIPs such as Spanish King Juan Carlos with his wife Sofie, British Queen Elizabeth II, and the Japanese emperor Akihito with empress Michiko. The guided tour takes about 30 minutes. We recommend visiting the Liechtenstein Palace next to the Kampa Park.

Beautiful palace on the Vltava riverside next to Charles Bridge. The first biggest building in baroque style in Prague. Was reconstructed several times. Before the whole Kampa park belonged to the palace but later the major part of it was given to the city for public use. Nowadays Lichtenstein palace is used as a residence for official state visits (presidents, Royal families etc.), as well as for seminars & conferences. Usually it is closed for the visitors but on public holidays they open it for everyone (For ex., May 1st, 8th, and the Open Doors events in Prague).

On tha state holiday - Saints Cyril and Methodius day,—Lichtenstein palace opened its doors to public visitors. We were welcomed by a kind guide who showed us the Palace and shared a lot of interesting facts about Palace's history, reconstructions, interior design, precious paintings that are displayed here. Now it is mainly used to welcome and host royalty and political elite who are coming with official visits to Prague. The suites on the second floor have hosted such guests as Spanish King Juan Carlos and his wife Sophia, Queen Elisabeth II of the United Kingdom, and Japanese Emperor Akihito with Empress Michiko. The ground floor halls and rooms are used for working meetings and friendly gatherings.

An owned by the Czech government building, renovated and well maintained, next to the river bank, with nice views to the Old town. Accessible for specific events, not sure if for the general public. A problem if you have difficulties in moving up and down by stairs as elevators are quite hidden

We came on open door days so we had a tour that only showed dinning room after dining room. None of the art was displayed or we were not allowed to visit the art. We did get to see a video of some of the art. It was honestly a waste of time. Maybe if we could have seen something it would be better. But a waste.
