My husband and I just adopted a beautiful boy dog yesterday. We are in love with him already. We do have to mention how much we enjoyed working with PAWS, especially Penny. She picked out a dog that is perfect for us. She kept us updated and provided information with transparency. She was pleasant to work with and we feel so lucky to meet Penny. She really cares for these animals. And she was patient with the questions we had - so many of them :) We love PAWS, they take good care of their animals. My dog was neutered, received vaccinations and up to date with all other preventive treatment. Thank you again Penny and PAWS for taking good care of our new puppy, \Elf\ and helping us to find the very best puppy!

Cool humans who care about the welfare of other creatures. Smart people. Clean facility. Please donate something to keep this gem open for injured critters.

We had a racoon that had a hard end of life ended up in our yard. We thought it was hit by a car as it couldn't walk but come to find out it had k9 temperament I think its called. I felt glad it wasn't suffering anymore.

They do amazing things here. Here is our little story: a tiny junco slammed into our glass sliding door and stopped moving after falling to our deck. Usually birds would just stand up and fly away soon, but this one looked really hurt. We got concerned so we called PAWS and left a message. We didn't expect to hear back any time soon but a gentleman called back within 15 minutes. He patiently explained to us what to do and what to expect, and told us to take the bird to the center if it does not recover but stay alive. Thankfully the junco recovered so we didn't have to drive to Lynwood. But it's extremely comforting to know that PAWS is there for the little bird and all the other animals out there, domestic and wild. The work PAWS does is so important to this community and we are really grateful.
