Really enjoyed the menu at Vaisko, we stayed at Luosto for a week and ate there most evenings. Though the menu was not extensive it was varied enough for a week and included local foods. The best starter had to be the Reindeer with Truffle, the Lamb entree was delicious, as was the Arctic Char. Eating was leisurely and the wait staff were courteous. I'd recommend it any time!

Have been here for food on new years eve 2019. Sadly we needed to wait 3 hours for the main course to arrive. They offered a suprpise menu for the evening. One was “allowed" to choose between three four or seven course menu. However the whole table hence eight people had to take the same amount of courses. So it was not possible that some people take five courses while others would take only three. Even though we did not see the point of that decision we reasoned that it probably was to serve everyone better and faster in a booked out night. The three hours waiting time did not support this theory and the food was of good taste but (again) sadly cold when being served. Poor gastronomic decision making and poor execution. Have been here two years ago with different owner and everything was fine. Total failure in my opinion and would not come back again. Big disappointment.

We had a really lovely meal! The food was great and the wine list (although small) suited the food perfectly! The place was very warm and cosy and the service was friendly.
Food really marvellous, Staff really nice and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Beautiful part of the world. Tour groups descending from all directions yet staff remained calm and happy all the way through. Meals were buffet-style, based on local produce & cuisine mostly. Great salads. Kids corner too.

Nice food but let down by very slow kitchen service - took 2 hrs for 3 courses for three of us. Also a bigger menu would be good especially for the Canterbury Travel half-boarders.
