Tyngsboro side has two parts - one big hill with a spaghetti network of mountain bike trails and another relatively flat area that skirts around wetlands. Some trails are actually paved. It's a nice place to get a family hike in. Trails are decently maintained - but not trail markers. However, you would have to really try to get lost. My only complaint is the trash people leave behind.

Love this place. My getaway from the inner city that's only a few miles away. Some decent fishing once you find it!
Nice wide trails kept up pretty well. Some spots with deep ruts from bikes. Lots of trails to choose from and adequate parking. No posted trail maps on site though you can download online. Not at all overcrowded on a Saturday afternoon.
I walk here with my dog routinely. Dogs must remain on the leash, which makes sense given the forest's popularity with cyclists. But there are many waterfront trails to walk along. There's not much in the way of elevation, and surfaces range from roads to narrow trails.
It's beautiful. Lots of trails. Not hard to walk or bike. Some people walk their dogs. Good path for children.
