Lovely restaurant with delicious food. We particularly enjoyed the jackfruit dish we tried. The ordering app needs double checking because a mushroom dish came with cheese automatically but was marked as vegan. When we asked for it to be replaced within the no cheese version, they got it for us very quickly - and it was great. Quick and friendly staff even on a busy Friday evening.

Amazing Sri Lankan dishes at very reasonable prices. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and service. Loved the fact that dishes were served with a banana leave. Such little thing makes my day \u200d️

It's hard to judge the food when you haven't tasted it. My partner and I plan our dates in advance. We've planned for a long time now to go and eat somewhere and I remembered that I had an eye on Yaalu since we moved in in the area couple months ago. To avoid any stressful situations we booked a table and made sure we told them about my partner's milk and egg allergy. Nevertheless we waited in the queue for about 15 minutes before anybody even talked to us. Somebody who I assume was hosting the dining room said they were really busy and directed us towards what we assumed was our table (nobody really showed us were we were suppose to go). The entering the restaurant was already stressful enough, but we decided to let it go, cause the place was very busy indeed. The manager of the place came to take our order no longer than 5 minutes after we'd been sat, didn't really get a chance to get a full idea of the menu. We'd asked him what is safe from the menu for a person allergic to milk and eggs and the manager mumbled something about cashews (?!) and three other dishes and when we tried to ask more questions he just walked away. We were on our way out right behind him. I came right back inside to tell the manager how shockingly unprofessional he was, I was completely destroyed that they ruined our date (by this time it was about half an our later and we wouldn't have had time to eat our dinner there or elsewhere so we just got back home hungry as hell). I don't understand what on earth made that guy think it's ok to be so rude and then argue with us to stay anyway...
I've been here few days ago eating some vegetarian plates, and there are surprisingly a lot of choices! Very tasty, fast service and friendly stuff! Fall in Love expecially with the mushroom and the dessert. Good price too!! Highly recommend :)
