Etles Uyghur Restaurant Reviews | Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Etles Uyghur Restaurant is located in London, United Kingdom on 235 Hoe St, Walthamstow,. Etles Uyghur Restaurant is rated 4.5 out of 5 in the category ethnic restaurant restaurant in United Kingdom. London’s first restaurant featuring Uyghur cuisine from the Chinese Xinjiang region, Etles Uyghur is as authentic as they come. This food is big on spice and flavour. Cumin-spiced meat, hand-pulled noodles and crispy naan breads are the staples, but everything demands to be tasted. Take the pitir manta, steamed dumplings filled with lamb and onion, or the da pan ji, a chicken and potato stew served with noodles. All the food is cooked fresh by a husband and wife team. There’s little else like this in London, so get down to Hoe Street in Walthamstow for the real deal.

I’ve eaten here before and the food is excellent, there’s nowhere that comes close. The dumplings are delicious and the main dishes are very tasty, nothing is oily or overly seasoned. Lovely service. Authentic Chinese so it hits the spot!! Everything is nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Food overall is just so so. Tried four items on the menu, the only thing that impressed me was the lamb rice. Hand pulled noodles are very al dente, a shame it was too salty. Lamb skew was a big disappointment, another Uyghur restaurant I tried in London does it so much better. Samosa is serviced just warm, i just hoping for freshly baked piping hot ones. Staff is nice, although he seems to be doing everything by himself so the service is quite slow.

dipanji (big plate chicken) is the best I’ve ever had. Handmade noodles, dumplings and cucumber salad is also a must!! You’ll be dreaming of this restaurant weeks after visiting. Family run hidden gem!

Lovely small family run establishment which makes, fresh and authentic food. The dumplings and noodles were handmade. Not your typical Chinese cuisine clearly.
