Literally the best model railroad/hobby store in the Midwest. I’ve been buying from Lombard’s regularly over the last five years. Their customer service is top-notch, professional, and FAST. I also love their online site and enjoy preordering items there. Living in TN means I don’t get to visit the store often, but thankfully their prices are just as nice online as they are in person. I cannot recommend them enough!

HUGE SELECTION of HO Scale trains and rolling stock. Though the trains they carry are primarily Diesels, they occasionally do get some nice Steamers in. They carry pretty much all of the popular brands and everything is in alphabetical order which is an OCD persons dream come true. Wide range of prototype era stock which is great for those who model certain time periods.

I ordered a few HO scale items and didn't notice that I accidentally ordered a N scale. The person who was filling my order noticed that and called me to verify what I want before he finished the order. If they were not extremely organized and paying attention to detail I would have upset my son with the wrong item. Thankfully they saved my hide. The order came extremely fast and is going to make my son very happy on Christmas.
