Nice building, cannot talk about how fair the judges are, but loses two stars for the removal of the longstanding Confederate statue and memorial that stood on the grounds. Despite what the chairwoman and many others say, the memorial was heritage, not hate. Loudoun County has done a very rubbish job of preserving and teaching its history, as a county with some of the most rich history anywhere in the States has been pushed aside in favour of greed and money in the form of unsightly strip malls and McMansions. The removal of the memorial is just the beginning, soon the Mosby Heritage Area named after a very respectable general called John Mosby will follow, as well as many other places around the county that bear Loudoun’s past, whether it was on the “right” side of history or not. Perhaps they should’ve left the memorial up and put up some more from our more recent history; it’s not like simply removing the memorial will make things better, the War of the Roses across the pond still has some of those from Yorkshire at odds with those from Lancashire and vis versa- and that was over 500 years ago. Just food for thought.

When a judge looks to the overall financial gain from each case, and not at being just- this would be bad judgment. This court make a higher court 'the necessity'. In traffic cases, the defendant is not allowed to speak to the prosecutor without an attorney... and this seems to be the dye process in Loudoun County. It's all a cluster@#%.

I called on the phone to get some clarity on the court house marriage process and the staff member was knowledgeable but far from polite. When we asked if we needed to schedule an appointment with the court house for the wedding and if we needed to file any paperwork afterward, instead of explaining that the officiant/celebrant of the ceremony (who we contact and schedule with) deals with the paperwork after the wedding, she just kept repeating that we needed to discuss that with the officiant and her tone hinted irritability.
