I have lived here for 9 months and I couldn't be happier. Our house is airtight so it has stayed warm all year round - we have only ever had to use the heating for an hour a day in mid-December, which has meant a massive saving in our energy bills in comparison to our previous home (which was actually one bedroom in comparison to four bedrooms here). We have also made great friends here in the community because of the open plan design of the space, and it's so lovely to wake up and see the river and so much green space right outside your window while being so close to the City Centre. It's exciting to see a small company working differently to tackle the climate crisis.

We have lived on this development for nearly 2 years. I can honestly say this is the best property we have ever lived in, for a number of different reasons: 1. The ethos of the company, they are disrupting the traditional house building company’s general disregard for climate change - zero carbon build properties is what they promise and that is what they deliver 2. The concept of the development being mixed use so we will ultimately have a primary school next to an old people’s home promoting interaction between different generations 3. The way the layout of the development promotes interaction between people and builds a real community spirit - it feels like more of an extended family than a community (in a good way!) with everyone looking out for and helping each other. The omission of private car driveways and implementation of car free streets and shared communal spaces naturally promotes interaction between people. We are too old to have children now but it is a wonderful place for children to grow up In case you assume I am employed by Citu and this is a ‘fake’ review, I can assure you I am not, I just love living here ️

I work on the river outside these dwellings, so if you live there, you're welcome.

I thought I'd post an honest, balanced review here! Good points: * community great * location great for a house - easy cycling distance to town Bad points: * lots of over selling and lies told, e.g. homes are NOT zero-carbon, electricity bills are high * everything is late, very late - even a purchase of a completed home was late! * build quality is poor and repairs take ages. Roof keeps dripping. Drip...drip...drip. can't relax as staff have to keep coming back.
