Keoki was an AMAZING guide. Super professional, grew up here so knows this place better than anyone! He was extremely knowledgeable in free diving and made us feel very comfortable. I would book again in a heartbeat. If you are in Maui looking for an incredible excursion, this is it!

Great trip and information! I have been spearfishing before and decided to take my wife. She had a great time and Hans our guide helped improve our diving. I felt confident in the water and got some shots off at some good fish. Great day, left me wanting to go again and again. Went in later to the shop and felt Hawaiian hospitality. Great place, will be back with friends to take a private boat tour.
I had an absolutely amazing time on a private spearfishing adventure with Joey! We were in the water for over 3 hours and cleaned up around 8 massive invasive Roi. Joey helped me a ton with fish-identification, freediving form, as well as some advanced techniques for sneaking up on fish. 10/10 would recommend! Definitely coming back for a return trip
I did the Spearfishing 101 course with Bobby and had such an incredible time! This 5 hour class/tour was the highlight of my two week stay on Maui. Bobby taught us free diving basics, how to handle spearguns, fish identification and most importantly how to dive respectfully and responsibly. He took us to some quiet, beautiful coves in north Maui where we chased Roi, Black tailed Snapper and other invasive fish and game fish if we could catch it (I couldn't). I really appreciated the balance Bobby struck between being careful/responsible (we were a tour of 4 x 17 year old boys and myself) while respecting our abilities and desire for exploration/adventure. Not once did I feel unsafe or that I was participating in some cheesy tourist gimmick – MSA is the real deal and I will definitely be coming back for the advanced classes when I come back to the island.
Had an excellent time taking spearfishing 101 with a couple of friends! Joey did a great job making sure we all had a chance to learn about freediving and spearfishing, stayed safe, and had a really enjoyable experience.
Bobby helped me set up an awesome spearfishing session with Keoki for myself, my brother and my son. We all had some spearfishing experience but Keoki helped us go deeper in the water by teaching us some breathing techniques and hunting moves. Keoki helped us spot fish and also had us smiling and laughing the whole time. Such a funny sweetie guy! LOVED it! Thanks guys!
Bobby is an absolutely impressive instructor! In March we went out on a solo spear fishing guide; however, this time we decided to take a step back and work on fundamentals: Free Diving 101. We added my 15 year old daughter and her friend to the class and were professionally trained while focusing on safety, technique, and pushing our comforts to another level. Being able to watch my daughter learn static breath hold, proper decent, and accent at depth is worth every dime! Personal Best (PB): Taylor and Ava 35 feet, active breath hold 1.25.
This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Maui. Keoki was an awesome instructor - we had a group with a really diverse set of ocean skills (some 1st timers, some with spearfishing experience) and everyone had a great time. We dove for about 2hrs, shot a couple fish, and had an awesome day of it. Highly recommend.
