This is definitely one of the best restaurants which serves authentic Bengali cuisine. Ambience: A perfect Bengali setup. While most of the staffs wear Bengali apparel, the art and decor may not be easily attached with Bengal tradition. Hospitality: Based on their brand and price, hospitality is definitely below par. They don't take the initiative for customer delight. In fact they have to be poked enough for getting details of particular menu. Food: No doubt the taste is good, but does it worth the cost? Question arises for few of their marque dishes. Also it is very surprising that they have hardly any option for people who follow jain type of food. Overall it's good for non vegetarians but definitely over priced

I recently visited this place (Aaheli - The peerless inn) to witness their illish utsav. Aaheli the bengali restaurant of the peerless inn, Kolkata is running a ilish utsav to celebrate the best of ilish preparation. Before entering into this prestigious hotel, the staff will check your body temperature, sanitize your belongings and they will also check you via THe arogya setu app. As being a non bengali i love illish so much that i can imagine how much you all bengalis will love this festival. Monsoon without illish is unimaginable. Illish pulao(recommended) The festival runs till 2nd October '20. Price for 2 people 1600/-

Aaheli is unique for their collections of beglali dishes. And the BANGALIYA* that they maintain in their restaurant to decorate the table, like they uses Diya* or Pradip* insted of candel or light to decore each nd every table ....that was lovely

Great ambiance. Good food quality. A little overpriced in terms of buffet.

Ambience food quality is very good. Even the quantity was sufficient for 2. The only thing I want to say that the prices are higher than the mentioned price in Zomato. Rest everything are good.

After an insanely long time getting burnt in Kolkota's heat, we decided to get into the closest restaurant possible and ended up at Aaheli. This was a fine dining restaurant, and we were amazed at how beautiful the place looked. The ambience was top notch, and the staff were dressed in traditional wear. We weren't too hungry, so we just had some chawal and shuktoi, classic traditional food of Bengal. The flavours were amazing, and the food tasted really good. They also had a lot of buffet and platter options, that looked ravishing. If you're a tourist at Kolkata and want some authentic Bengali food, Aaheli at Pearless inn is the place to be.

Although the decor is a bit dated, the food was really delicious. We were a large crowd (12 of us) and the wait staff were very attentive and helpful at making recommendations and making sure everyone was served and attended to. I personally had the vegetable thali, which was excellent. The portions were generous and everything was tasty. Other people in the group ordered a variety of dishes - each was received well. No complaints at all. I'm not sure why, but they brought us a cake at the end of our dinner. We were full, so they were kind enough to divide the cake and pack it away for us and our guests to take home. The main thing that would have made the experience 5 stars would have been a tidied up and updated look for better atmosphere and ambiance.

Very disappointed with the food. The place is overhyped where bengali cuisine is concerned. Food is very average and some items too pricey. there are many better option around Kolkata if someone is looking for bengali cuisine.Ambience is ok, but found no logic in the staff wearing dhuti panjabi /saree in a cheap fabric and awful colour... it hardly adds to the BANGALI feel. And stay away from what they serve as mishti doi....it's anything but that.
