Great way to see the sea life, well run operation, good equipment, you will be wearing a full head to toe wet suit. very capable staff. Access to the beach is a bit challenging so I do not recommend for anyone with balance issues.

First, you will NOT be freezing cold!!! Myself and four family members were all surprised how warm we were in the wetsuits. And you get in an "Alaskan hot tub" at the end of your snorkeling tour!!! We snorkeled in mid-July and were very comfortable with the water temperature. We saw basketball-sized sea urchins when we dove down about 10 feet. There were LOTS of hermit crabs, red crabs, starfish, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers. One of us saw a small eel. I was skeptical about snorkeling in Alaska but I'm so glad we chose this excursion. If you are even considering it my recommendation is to book it because you will love it. The wetsuits are so buoyant that even inexperienced swimmers will have a blast.

Went on a snorkeling tour Summer of 2019, during a cruise stop in Ketchikan. Was booked online. Picked up at the main dock and then we traveled to the dive center. Got all suited up and off to the dive location. Aaron was one of the tour guides (main one I believe) and there were a few others. In the middle of the summer, with wet suits, the water is great. Not warm, but very nice and not really cold at all. During the tour we were taken around the area, information and items of interests were shared. While being guided with the group I was still able to swim around by myself to explore. It was a great experience. I was with my family so it was fun swimming with my girls and checking out all that was going on. The guides are great and really aware of the surroundings and their patrons. There was one individual that was hesitant about open water swimming, one guide stayed with them to make sure they were able to have a good experience. Safety was always a concern and they made sure everyone was together. If you like to swim and snorkel, book a tour. It was worth it.

Fantastic snorkel trip, would book again. Good semi-dry suits keep you plenty warm, hot shower after.

Yes, you can snorkel in Alaska. Yes, there is visibility and you can see wildlife. Yes, it was chilly, but you have a full body wet suit to help keep you warm. Yes, you may be a little uncomfortable temperature wise during the swim. However, this experience is truly once in a lifetime. Many travelers have stories of seeing beautiful tropical fish in the reefs and warm waters of the world when they snorkel, but how many can tell you what it’s like snorkeling next to a kelp forest and seeing giant sun stars, sea cucumbers, salmon and other cold water sea life?

An awesome experience and a very well organized, very clean, and very knowledgeable staff and shop. Bekah was a fantastic guide for our nice and small 4 person group. The 7mil suites keep you nice and toasty warm, even in the cool waters. I did a ton of hiking and climbing in Alaska, but how many other people go snorkeling in Alaska!?!
