Even though there was no English menu, the staff was friendly enough to explain what each item in the menu was(in Japanese though). Basically the first 3 items in the menu are the unagi dons in small, medium and large. The unagi is fresh and you can taste the simple flavours of it while in a cozy environment.

Expensive and outdated. The unagi is good and light. But i dont think i will need to go back.

今日のランチは笹屋町通り千本西入るの老舗鰻屋さん“西陣 江戸川”さんへ その名のとおり江戸前のやり方でやられています！ 子供の頃は両親やおばあちゃんに連れられてよく来たもんですが、鰻が高くなった今は甲斐性も無いので全然これません(T_T) 当然並しかお願いできません(T_T) 並ですのでもちろん小ぶりですが江戸前なので柔らかくて旨味があってとても美味しいです 久しぶりの“江戸川”さん、ご馳走さまでした
場所がわかりづらいが、古い京町家で、雰囲気最高！外を、歩いて来たら、鰻の蒲焼の、匂いがして最高に、テンションアゲアゲ‼️ とても美味しく頂きました！
今まで食べたうなぎの中で一番美味しいでも言える。 Really delicious and not expensive.
蒸してから焼いてはるふっくら美味しい鰻。うな重上を頼みました。タレはもう少し甘めが好き。ご飯も少ない
いつ食べても江戸川を超える店は無し！鰻売り切れも有るから注意！確認してから行くのが良いかな
