I can't thank the staff enough at the Ipswich Co-operative bank. My mother has dementia and they are completely knowledgable of her problems, understanding and patient at all times. When I call they are most helpful. Helen Markwell is particularly kind. Thank you.

Great customer service

No issues with the in-branch service. My moan is the usual one regarding the closure of the two local branches I was using, meaning I now have to suffer the pain of a long drive into busy Ipswich when I have a cash deposit to make.

It is easy to open a bank account for a foreigner. The second thing is their service when called, employees proceed by the script. When they are asked a question, they don't answer it. Good customer service is based on interaction of both sides. If it's only a one-way communication, it is a bad communication. When a problem arises, they ask you whether you would like to complain instead of finding a solution for your problem. A customer comes to a bank to seek a solution for their problem, not to complain when subsequent difficulties emerge as a consequence of a solution for the customer's problem being sought. The aim of the bank ought to find a solution for the customer's issue. When a customer comes to bank, they expect to be served by experienced stuff. when served a person which keeps coming to the manager every 5 minutes, it does not arouses trust in the bank's stuff. The only reason why this old generation of non-flexible banks exist is that there is no competition. The only thing me as a customer wants is to use online banking, walk-in appointments and experienced staff which doesn't follow a prescribed script. Think about these words and implement them.
