Very over-priced and customer service is hit and miss. I'd been in a few times previously , the first time I had a delicious salad box. Although this was pricey, it was a treat and was delicious. Since then however, it hasn't been as good and the staff can be quite stand-offish. The latest visit has put me off for good. I wanted a take-away lunch - they have two menus - one is a sandwich menu, the other is less clear. When I have ordered from the second menu previously I have received an open sandwich with a side salad - these are 6.50; pricey but tasty. Today I ordered from this same menu and I even said to the person saving me that I didn't want a sandwich. What did I get....a very small sandwich - FOR 6.50!!! When I explained that this wasn't what I was expecting (based on previous orders), the person serving me couldn't have been less bothered. They could see I wasn't happy but didn't offer to do anything to rectify the situation. By this point I had waited an age - did I say the service was slow - and I needed to get back to work. I won't be going back again and I'd say spend your money elsewhere.

A strong recommendation here for anyone seeking great coffee and light bites in a relaxing setting with a first class team providing the service. I personally love coffee and have traveled widely. I have never found better than Toast House Ilkley even in Italy or Central / Southern American. It is devine and consistently good every time. Toast House source their coffee from a niche supplier and have invested heavily in top of the range coffee making equipment. The staff are so meticulous preparing the drinks. This takes slightly longer but the payback is a consistent experience every time. You will certainly taste the difference. If you like espresso, my personal recommendation is ristretto which is a very short pulled drink. Less quantity than even an espresso and more condensed. Try the food while there. Lot's of home made and very tasty options.
I've been following toast on social media for a while and it looked delicious! Finally managed to get there today and it didn't disappoint - a taste sensation yummy, thank you. It was also plastic free but hopefully take our own containers next time.
Lovely little cafe. I had the fruit toast with cinnamon sugar which was scrummy, my boyfriend had beans & cheese on toast which looked really good. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful café, the decor is gorgeous and the food is delicious. The cakes are homemade, I really recommend treating yourself! I also tried the almond tea for the first time the other day and I'll definitely be having that one again.
