Since being in Houston, I am still on a mission to find a good corned beef sandwich. So far, New York Deli is my second try at trying to find a good corned beef sandwich. When I got home, started eating, my first impression was not a good impression. First, let me start off saying that when I noticed that the restaurant close at 4pm, and it was a little after 3pm, I was a little apprehensive. I really don't like going to a restaurant close to closing, feeling that the food, for some reason, may not be as fresh as if I had gone earlier in the day. But since I was out already, and not that far away, I decided to go anyway. I should have listened to my first intuition. The corned beef was super dry! Just looking at parts of the meet, it had that dried-out look, like meat looks when it has been in the fridge uncovered. So, I said to myself, at least the meat is not tough. I decided to finish eating it, knowing that I would never return (my motto: if food is not good the first time, I will not give restaurant a second chance). But then, when I got down to the last 2-3 bites, I noticed the bread had MOLD on it! I was super mad! Now I am wondering if I unknowingly had eaten any mold! The mold, although a small amount, was on both slices of the bread...Ugh!!! Bread does not mold that fast, so this tells me that they had this bread for awhile, and did not care about serving old food to their customers. For this reason, I will definitely not return; and I will tell everyone else, to check your food before you eat it. If I lived closer to this restaurant, I would have returned to show the mold, and requested some of my money back! 11 for old, moldy, dried up food! Shame on you New York deli!

Found this Gem of a spot. Bagels to die for. HUGE menu. Coffee is p.e.r.f.e.c.t and the corned beef hash was wonderful. They even have a choice of soft or crispy bacon. If you're looking for a locally owned business to support this is a great one. Stop in and talk to Eddie. Been in business since 1975 in the bakery and 1981 in deli. Rainbow Bagels!!! Wonderful spot for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Classic New York deli feel and a really interesting menu with lots of different breakfast and lunch options. These people have served great food all throughout the terrible power outages we've been experiencing. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly to us. This is the kind of community business we need to be supporting - one that is there for us and pulls out all the stops when they're most needed.

Incredible, have picked up Bagels from here every Sunday since I found this place on Google. We live just around the corner. Today we decided to eat in for a change and just beautiful home made food. Try the eggs Benedict!!

My first time here and I can't believe I missed this hidden gem. This place has been in business for 44 years. The owner and staff were friendly and great service. I will definitely be back.
