Called the dispatch to report suspicious activity involving a baby and received a phone call from a HCS whom spoke to me as if I was the perpetrator. Very rude and demeaning. Needless to say to avoid any issues of myself getting in trouble with authority since I don't tolerate this behavior, I will keep vital information like this to myself. It's a shame especially when there could be a life in jeopardy. Especially when they cannot speak for themselves. I will never put myself in this situation ever again to avoid this type of abuse of power.

HCSO is the absolute worst police force in the state. First, their dispatchers are rude and condescending. The deputies are extremely slow to respond to any call, even serious crimes like a burglary in progress - it took them an hour to arrive on the scene. And the deputies are rude, inept and incompetent. They wouldn't gather evidence or even interview an eyewitness to the crime. This is not just my experience, but several of my neighbors have faced the same hurdles. The lone honorable deputy I encountered apologized to me, and admitted there are a lot of problems within the department. I think failing police departments should be like the public school systems, and be taken over by another entity and reformed... anything would be better than the current HCSO.
