Perhaps travelling during COVID made this a more pleasant experience than it might normally be, but I have to say Stena offer a very easy option for those that need to travel by car. Having paid for premium, which again probably enhanced the experience, boarding and disembarking was quick and painless. The lounge was quiet and the snacks and drinks on offer are okay, but nothing more. Lots of sweets but very little in the way of savoury snacks so it's either a sugar coma or ordering off the menu. I also booked a sleeper berth and the rooms just felt grubby. Dust on the TV, phone, and kettle made me not want to touch much, and made me question how clean the sheets and towel were. Overall not a particularly premium experience - definitely not one i'd opt for if I was making a leisure journey, (especially given the eyewatering price!) but if needs must then it's absolutely do-able.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin recently and it was amazing, clean, modern...it felt like a hotel room with little extras like snacks and a coffee machine. Comfy bed and sea view and balcony. The boat was very quiet...the quietest I've ever seen it but I felt so comfortable travelling with Stena line as all safety precautions were in place with everyone wearing masks and social distancing and hand sanitiser in place.

Very poor service! Been using Stena for years, but getting steadily worse. Ships \Adventure\ very scruffy and dirty. Looks like they've turned the old truckers lounge into the Stena Plus Lounge. Dirty chairs, broken tables, lack of power points to charge devices, wi-fi, pure rubbish. Used to offer a nice range of complementary snacks and drinks, including wine and beer. Now all that's going is bottled water, cheap slices of cake, and the smallest packets of crisps I've ever seen. And more often than not, no hot food being served.

I did enjoy the journey before, however what gos up must come down, boat was unclean, and 3.30 hrs late and no justifiable apology from so called professionals, may be they are earning too much of our money.we need more competition not cartels.
