Disgraceful service and disgusting attitude. Ordered a piece of timber after receiving an official quote. Was then told that a mistake had been made and the price was far too low. I understand that mistakes happen but the man I spoke to about it was extremely rude and when I asked if there was anything he could do except offer the very small discount his office staff proposed, he said there was no way he would sell me the piece and slammed the phone down. Undeserving of anyone's custom, found a local alternative, much cheaper and with excellent service!!

Narcissistic, arrogant and a ‘let-down’ individual. Does not want, nor he deserves, the custom of good costumers. Small orders are not worth his while but he doesn’t tell you from the beginning .. he messes you about, makes you chase and wastes your time for weeks (not to mention waste money in the journeys that you have to make to remind him of the order as he’s either forgotten or couldn’t be bothered keeping it safe). Shame on you.
I've been coming here for years, whenever I get chance if I'm back down in Lancashire, as I'd rather come here than any other supplier I've come across. Great service again this morning - bought a lovely piece of Yew for a project. George was happy to hunt round for several alternative planks until we found the right one for me. Always friendly, always helpful, plenty of varied stock - fab service and timber. Highly recommended.
Hello thank you for the past orders i have had of you where there as not been any trouble at all wood as been spot on i am disabled in a wheel chair and do the cheese boards as an hobby , you was a little harsh with me when i called asking for another order there as not been any trouble before in the past i could not understand why you was like that no problem with cash pound notes i have only found you in the passed genuine but thank you Mick
I wanted small pieces cutting so they asked for details. After 2 wks um'ing & ah'ing, & several chasing phone calls, today said it wasn't worth them bothering with! Poor attitude! Never deal again.
