Well,I go to the RGS and i am in Year 7.This school is amazing and have exquisite teachers.Although I am a new comer and I do not know every detail but for me,so far so good. However, there is a wide range of inappropriate graffiti, drawn with a permanent marker in the bathroom and there is a lot of swearing from the older AND younger pupils. This school takes sport VERY seriously which is good. There are a variety of sports such as hockey, cricket, football and loads of clubs, the main sport of the school is contact rugby. In Year 8,we will receive iPads to extend our knowledge and technology skills. The homework is not too bad for Year 7 but I have heard complaints of way to much homework. As I work my way through my seven years in this school I think I will enjoy.

I attended for 6 years and in this time there were only a handful of teachers who truly seemed to care about the students. This school is great if you're hard working and normal. For anyone with even a shred of individuality, don't expect to have any encouragement or support. Mental health issues are rampant, and the lack of sensitivity and tact demonstrated by staff in how to deal with issues in this area is staggering. There really needs to be more training for staff, teaching them how to identify boys that are struggling. The fact that an ex student went to fight for ISIS should be encouragement enough for the school to invest in training of this sort. The school premises are reasonably well kept, considering the sheer number of teenage boys in attendance. The equipment and facilities are reasonably up to date for a school and offer a decent learning experience. This school used to be great, but has really deteriorated over the last decade. If you want your child to do well academically above all else, send them here. If you want them to be happy, send them elsewhere.
