Formed in 1914 the club celebrated gaining promotion to the football league for the first time after beating Notts County 3 -1 in the play off final .They will start the season ground sharing with Doncaster Rovers whilst there synthetic pitch is replaced with grass to comply with the football leagues regulations

Harrogate AFC was formed for the 1919/20 season and the Wetherby Road Stadium, with a present capacity of just over 5,000, was opened in 1920. In 1948 they adopted the name Harrogate Town AFC. Season 2019/20 saw The Sulphurites promoted to the Football League for the first time in their history. However, HTFC had to start out their EFL campaign playing their home games away at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium because their artificial 3G playing surface at Wetherby Road did not comply with EFL rules.

Went in the away end. Programmes were not available, so it loses a star. They had been, but they had been moved to the home end before I got there, and so I had to buy one on eBay. The toilets were portable ones, which was quite good. Food was available at a good price. View was fine, see pictures. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was segregation worthy of Leeds v Manchester United, as no real conflict between fans this was excessive. Maidenhead had two late sending offs, which was a nonsense, but cannot blame the ground for that.

Worst football ground I have been to. One toilet for disabled but no signage so everyone uses. All the toilets are portable & disgusting within about half hour of gates opening.
