What fantastic service! I was the lucky buyer of a beautifully made but consequently very delicate wooden model of the ship HMS Racehorse in the November 2020 sale. These things are always a trial to dispatch because of their fragile nature, and because of its finesse, this one was more fragile than most, so sending it to me would be a real challenge at every stage. I found all the staff I dealt with at this auction house very keen to help, courteous and determined to deliver it to me unscathed. I took their advice to go for delivery via one of their chosen couriers, rather than Parcel Farce, due to the extreme fragility of this model. At every stage it was evidently treated with as much care and respect as I was myself: somehow it was wrapped without damage and carefully located within a large box with masses of buffering to prevent any movement. Their chosen couriers were just as careful and cheerfully delivered it surprisingly soon afterwards. I cannot praise enough the care with which this model was treated! It is so fragile that handling it at all is a challenge, but I am now building a display case so that this exquisite piece of craftsmanship will remain a joy to see for decades to come. Many thanks to all concerned.
Truly thankful to all at East Bristol Auctions. I discovered the medals from my great great uncle who was killed 11/10/1917 went up for sale August 2020. The auction house were able to contact the buyer and he kindly agreed to sell them to me. It’s truly wonderful having them back in the family. Thank you too all there. Prompt postage and very well packaged.
