The book shop on Schulterblatt is an institution. The people who work there are competent and engaged, and will readily offer sensible answers to sensible questions. The shop makes no appologies for its political allegences and is actively engaged in supporting local left-wing projects. Readings, talks and discussions are held on a regular basis after closing time, making the shop an active and invaluable contributer to local culture and a decisive information exchange. An ever-evolving sellection of high-quality fiction is offered, together with a broad range of cutting-edge non-fiction. The shop is nearly always full - especially on Saturday - so take some time with you.
