My daughter (7 years old) has been riding off and on (daughter had to take a break) at Emerald Leaf Stables for a couple of years now and we have loved every minute of our time there! Crystal (owner) has a wonderful rapport with her students- authoritative yet nurturing and makes a point to encourage and celebrate in each accomplishment and milestone. Crystal takes the time before and after each lesson to work with her students on the fundamentals of horsemanship. She takes the time to explain and show them how to take care of the horses while teaching them to respect the horses and the sport, which I feel is so important when the kiddos are starting out. My daughter absolutely loves riding at Emerald Leaf Stables and looks forward to her lessons each week!

I have been taking riding lessons at Emerald Leaf Stables for almost a year and have grown in technique and confidence. Crystal (Emerald Leaf trainer) does a great job of explaining how and why techniques are successful. In addition, the barn is clean and well run. I look forward to my lessons knowing I will have both an educational ride and a pleasant time spent with my lesson horse. If you are looking for a barn, check Emerald Leaf out!
Love the atmosphere! I have been with crystal for 7ish months now and have learned so many new things. Ive been riding consistently for almost 6 years now, but when I went to Crystal seeking more she -and her amazing lesson horses- have taught me almost more than I have learned the past almost 6 years in 7 months! Everyone here are so so friendly and welcoming, shows are even so much fun because it’s so easy to talk and get along with everyone! Overall amazing place and 11/10 recommend :)
First lesson in over forty years of saddle AWOL... Crystal had me up and out in the ring in short order, reviewing the basics and giving all the encouragement you can want. While I didn't do as much as I would've liked (little unfit... gotta work on that), it was more than I could hope for. I still have a seat and balance, leg placement and feet all good. Going back for more
I have to say something about this place. This stable was able to reconnect my bestie back to her first love. HORSES. Not only has she reconnected she has recruited my beautiful God daughter in to the saddle lifestyle. The children riding lessons are amazing especially for the youngins with allot of energy and love to give. The adult lesson are great to decompress from Adulting. The owner is AMAAAAAZZZING BTW.
