It's not to bad but they building houses next to graves which is not nice get the cons out the jail to fix the fallen grave stones
Unfortunately, in the last 5 years or so, this lovely Cemetery hasn't had the up keep it has had in the past. It's in a bit of a mess to be honest. I was shocked when I passed by the other day on the bus.
todayi i visited this cemetary and was disgusted with the state of it, i have visited several cemetaries in west of scotland and this is the worst one i know... massive pothole that have been there a long time, the grass gets cut and the cuttings get left and you get your footwear covered with grass when visiting a grave. the cemetary is full of broken and fallen head stones and there is no sign of any attempt to improve the area the owners need to be ashamed of themselves for allowing it to get in such a sorry mess.
Live in Thailand and recently visited my parents' grave, 1625K, in Cardonald Cemetery. First visit in 2016 was February, all was ok. Again visited in May and found that the headstone was lying face down . Spoke with reported the fact to a Mrs. or Miss Johnston, who is supposedly based at Daldowie Crematorium. She confirmed that it was her job to take the complaint and to assist in making the headstone upright again. She promised to email the contact details of some mason, who deal with Cardonald. I have since returned to Thailand and to date no such email has been received. Appears to me that Glasgow City Council are falling down on their duties and responsibilities. Returning to the UK in September. Hope that she, or someone contacts me before then otherwise I will start enquiry proceedings in the matter.
