I would like to start this negative review by highlighting the one positive about this place and that is the staff were extremely kind. Aside from that, I am greatly disappointed in the quality of care or lack thereof that my dog received. I brought my dog in on a Saturday morning due to him aspirating and vomiting excessively with labored breathing. Due to Covid, you are unable to accompany your pet which I completely understand, however, there is no way to ensure what is actually being done or not being done to your animal under these circumstances. I was told the suggested treatment of an anti-nausea injection and multiple view radiographs. Subsequently was told the work-up was normal and he was discharged a couple of hours later with no other after care aside from OTC Omeprazole for the next week. 779 was the cost for this visit. A day later, my dog woke up doing the exact same thing and I decided to take him to another emergency hospital that we have used in the past for our other dog. My dog is currently hospitalized in the ICU with a severe case of pneumonia that was obviously missed at the previous location. Our current expenses over the past 3 days has surpassed 2500 for a problem that should have and could have been caught by the first location. In essence, pneumonia in dogs, especially in breeds such as American Bullies can be deadly if not treated rather quickly. I would not recommend anyone take their pet here. The motivation seems to be more about money rather than providing quality care. My vet recommends this place on their website and I have informed them of my experience as well. I cannot fully articulate my disappointment in this place and I would caution anyone considering taking their animal here.

I can't even begin to properly express my genuine gratitude to Dr. Bridget Tobleman; and every doctor, technician, and staff member at Fort Worth Animal Emergency Hospital that spent two long weeks helping to care for my four-legged soulmate, Bodhi Blue. He was incredibly sick with Leptospirosis, and I've never been so scared in my entire life. Dr. Tobleman was (and is) the kindest, most caring and compassionate veterinarian I've ever met. I'm beyond thankful to say that Bodhi is thriving and finally back to his \fighting weight.\ I'm forever grateful and beholden to each of you that cared for him and helped him to get better so he could come back to his forever home.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with this hospital was just so negative. My dog was attacked by another dog who gave him a compound fracture. You could see all his bones and his paw was dangling. We brought him to the emergency pet hospital asap. When I got there, they saw the injury but they didn’t seem anywhere near urgent about it. I was still holding my bleeding dog with a compound fracture outside their door (couldn’t go in because of the pandemic) while they were asking for paper work. Secondly, a women came out and was rudely explaining to me that we have to pay the deposit because that’s how they keep their place open. We didn’t show any signs that we weren’t going to pay, but she was being very passive aggressive and said we could leave and take my dog to a different place if we don’t like how they do things. After they gave care to my dog, we picked him up the next day. Expecting the nurse to carry my dog so he doesn’t have to walk on his very broken paw, we turned to see him limping out on a leash with the nurse walking behind him. The fact that it was raining also made it worse due to the fact that the bandages needed to stay dry. Our dog is a small dog, around 15 pounds, so I was appalled by seeing this. I was so surprised, I ran to the front to carry him to our car (keep in mind we couldn’t go in the hospital to do so because of the pandemic which is very understandable)

I highly recommend Fort Worth Animal emergency hospital. Our dog Max was in an accident and shattered his front leg. It was the great work that FWAEH and the attached Fort Worth Vet Surgical Center did that allowed Max to keep his leg. Thank you
