Great day out with lots of amazing scenery. Free car park and a lovely little coffee shop if you want sit and have a little break. Also picnic tables if you bring a packed lunch.

Great walk around the fort in all the different stages of its existence. The museum was extremely informative and the fact you can still see the guns in their bunkers was great. Basic yes but WELL worth the visit.

This is definitely an underrated location! A military fort located in a very beautiful setting. A few nice routes available for walking with spectacular views. There's a military museum with loads of info on the historical context and position of the fort over the years. Parking is free and there's a great wee coffee shop just off the parking. One of my favourite locations during this trip :)

We didn't go into the fort, we thought it expensive to do so. Otherwise, it's so worthwhile. Coffee shop on site. Greatt place to sit and relax.

A magnificent tourist attraction, staff could not be more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is free, if all you want to do is take in the breathtaking walk, views and wildlife. Don't forget to pay a visit to the cafe, had a coffee, tea... and just take in the view... Certainly worth a visit.
