I arrived in the evening to Flensburg, wanted to catch something light to eat, after checking in I took a walk to look for a place I could grab something to eat. It was Sunday evening, many places had shut already, when I got down to the harbour. I found two places open, I decide to try the HafenLibe, I order herring in a bread bun and a local hot dog. Both choices was great, I especially like the herring in a bun, I think it was so good that if you have your way past Flensburg you should stop and have a bite.

LONG REVIEW So my family and I wanted a quick Imbiss here. We ordered 6 Fischbrötchen. First, it took almost 10 minutes to order, even though less than 10 people were in line. Second, we waited.. and waited.. and waited.. We asked for the food and was told it was on the way but they were busy. No wonder, they make every single serving single and complete. So no bread in oven while making french fries, for instance. Several people were asking for their food, but were told they were busy. One of the staff even took a break while this was going on. The one serving customers was quite rude when inquired about the missing food. At 40 minutes we started to lose patience and put pressure on them. We're talking 6 Fischbrötchen, not a 6 course meal at a gourmet restaurant!! Then we were told they had forgot us. But several other people had simply left without getting their food due to extreme waiting time. We were offered a refund, together with drinks for the kids. But we're still waiting for the food, more than an hour later.. Proceed with caution and without any substantial hunger!
