Was on a holiday and lived just above this restaurant back in 2015. I was there for 5 days and every evening I would see that the restaurant was packed. On my 2nd last night in Florence, I decided to check out what the hype was all about. Went in and ordered a regular steak with mushroom sauce - safe choice. But when I looked around, I saw steaks covered in dark sauce. Nearly all the tables had that dish. I asked the waiter and he said they were either Balsamic steak or Blueberry steak. I was bewildered and stunned at the combination. 2 Korean dudes next to me told me that it was awesome but I was still skeptical. The next evening, my last night in Florence I didn't know what to eat so I decided to go back to Acqua Al 2, since it's just under my apartment. Tried the Blueberry steak. Its 2021 now and we're in the middle of a pandemic, and I still think about it!

The sampler steak is outstanding! Blueberry and Balsamic steaks are amazing! Take a small risk and try their steaks! Very reasonable price for the steam platter (approx 30). You should consider making a reservation vs having to wait with the crowd! You will certainly not be disappointment.
Fantastic. We came off the back of a recommendation from a friend who lived here for a year and it did not disappoint! We had the house red and the tasting menu for the salad and the pasta, both were fantastic and filled us right up! If you come to Florence, try this place... about 50 for a great meal for 2!
This restaurant must be tried at least once when in Firenze! An AMAZING epicurian experience awaits at competitive prices!!! The staff are very helpful and speak some English. Reservations recommended.
Delicious varieties of Italian food! Between the two of us we shared a pasta tasting menu (5 types of pasta) and a steak tasting menu (3 types of pasta) and every dish was just gorgeous. Came to about 25 Euro per person including drinks, which is a budget considering we got to try 8 dishes in total! Staff overworked (Don't expect American service here, this is Italy) but attentive and they speak good English. Will recommend!
